Partnering with other ministries in our area is a way that we participate with what God is doing through others. Here are a few of the ministries that we are currently involved with. Thank you for supporting us so that we in turn can help support others!

I AM FOR KIDS is a non-profit ministry that works with children of all ages, social status and economic backgrounds. The ministry began in prayer as a few women gathered to pray and ask God to bring revival to their neighborhood. Little did they know that a middle age woman, Theresa Beck, was praying for God to show her how she could share His love. The birth of I AM FOR KIDS began on the church parking lot with Theresa sharing crackers and drinks with 4 neighborhood children. Since that time, the ministry has grown and brought God's love and hope to 1000's of children! Most recently, Lawrence County High School formed an I AM FOR KIDS club for any and all students to attend once a week after school. Overflow Ministries has been a part of this work for the past 5 years and we are proud to be a part of God's work through this vital and anointed ministry.

SERVICE LEARNING is a part of the Achievement Academy program. This program is offered by the Lawrence County Board of Education to help students who have behavioral and/or attendance issues remain in school rather than be suspended and miss valuable school time. Part of the students curriculum while in the program involves participating in community projects and/or helping local non-profit organizations. Overflow Ministries has had the privilege of working with this program and it has been a joy to see the enthusiasm that these students have. Many of them just need to be encouraged and made aware that they too are valuable in God's eyes!

 

GOD'S STOREHOUSE This ministry, which offers food and financial assistance to those less fortunate, is an arm of the Salvation Army in Lawrenceburg, TN. Overflow Ministries is one of the many organizations who come along side this ministry to offer assistance to those in need.

MERCY MINISTRY Founded by Nancy Alcorn, Mercy Ministries is a ministry which seeks to reach and minister the lover of Jesus to young girls between the ages of 13-29. Since its establishment in 1983, Mercy has brought hope and restoration to thousands of young women who thought there was no hope. After working in public social system for several years, Nancy saw that the hope for these desperate young lives was Light of Christ.

TEEN CHALLANGE There are two reasons that we support and work with this ministry. One is because it is a thriving ministry that God has used to bring healing and deliverance to thousands and thousands of men and women for decades! Whether you are a teenager or in your 50's, Teen Challenge seeks to set at liberty those who are bound by the life controlling issues such as alcohol, drugs and eating disorders. The other reason is because my sister, Tammy Etheredge, is a 8 year graduate of the program and now serves as the Dean of Women for Teen Challenge in Chattanooga.
